While we hand select and process each casing during manufacturing, each casing may vary in color, finish, imperfections, dents, dings, scratches, or otherwise. This adds to the authenticity and personality of each piece.

Keep away from pets, small children and any individuals who have a tendency to place inedible objects in their mouths. Small parts may cause choking. Recommended for ages 10+.

While reproduction shell casings are perfectly legal, airport security may attempt to confiscate your B&U jewelry. To avoid potentially losing your product, we recommend packing it in your checked baggage. Confiscated jewelry is out of our control, and isn't covered under warranty.

General Care

To best care for your Brass & Unity pieces, please follow these simple suggestions:

  • Avoid over-stretching. While our product are built strong, they are not indestructible. Elastic has it's limits. Repeatedly fidgeting, stretching, and/or over-stretching products strung on elastic (like bracelets) will cause premature failure. The product is only intended to be stretched enough to fit over the hand, and on or off the wrist.

  • Avoid getting them wet. Prolonged exposure to water will, overtime, weaken the elastic which our bracelets are strung on and may lead to the bracelet breaking. Exposure to water may also cause various degrees of damage to certain beads, which may not always be visible. Basically, avoid getting your B&U jewelry wet. If exposed to water, immediately dry with a soft lint free cloth.

  • Only dry using a soft cloth. Do not use a hair dryer, heat gun, compressed air, or other heating/air device to dry off your B&U pieces.

  • Avoid washing machines. Aside from damaging the jewelry, the small parts, beads, chains, clasps, etc may cause damage to your washing machine.

  • Avoid grinding your jewelry on hard surfaces. You may scratch the plating, finish, and/or cause additional damage to the materials.

  • Just say no to "clank". Avoid aggressive contact with other jewelry, and/or hard surfaces as it may cause stones to crack, shatter, or chip.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals (including beauty products). Do not let your jewelry come in contact with any harsh chemicals. Never spray chemicals while wearing jewelry. Instead, spray all products on and allow to dry thoroughly before putting on jewelry.

  • Treat Crystal & Semi-precious materials with care! Please treat your B&U jewelry, especially Swarovski crystal and semi-precious gemstones, with the utmost care. Clean gemstones using a soft, untreated cloth.

  • Avoid abrasives. Do not use abrasives (or abrasive liquids) as a means to clean your B&U products.

  • Avoid extreme temperatures. Extreme temperatures may damage products.

  • On top please. Do not place heavy objects on your jewelry as they may cause damage.

Travel & Storage

While travelling or storing your Brass & Unity pieces, please follow these simple suggestions:

  • Airport security. While spent (and decommissioned) shell casings are perfectly legal, airport security may attempt to confiscate your B&U jewelry. To avoid potentially losing your product, we recommend packing it in your checked baggage. Confiscated jewelry is out of our control, and isn't covered under warranty.

  • High & Dry. Keep your B&U jewelry in a dry, safe place, out of reach of pets, small children and any individuals who have a tendency to place inedible objects in their mouths.

  • One at a time. Certain materials are delicate and should be stored accordingly. If possible, store each piece individually, with a soft surface between each piece.

  • Avoid extreme temperatures. Extreme temperatures may damage products. Store at room temperature.

  • On top please. Do not pack your product under heavy objects as they may cause damage to your jewelry.

E-GIFT CARDS

Gift card basics

  • Gift cards are sold as unique digital codes. B&U doesn’t create or ship physical gift cards.

  • At checkout, a gift card’s value will be subtracted from the order total. This includes tax and shipping.

  • Gift cards never expire.

  • Gift cards can’t be refunded.

Can gift cards cover tax and shipping?

Yes, if the total amount of the order is less than the value of the gift card.

Can I split an order between a gift card and a credit card?

Yes. If the order total exceeds the value remaining on the gift card, you can pay the balance using standard payment methods.

Can I use less than the full value of my gift card?

When using a gift card, the full value of the gift card is always applied. It isn’t possible to partially redeem a gift card unless the order total is less than the gift card balance.

Do sale pricing and discounts apply to purchasing gift cards?

No. Sales pricing and discount codes can’t be applied to purchasing a gift card. However, these discounts will apply to orders made using a gift card.

Can I refund a gift card?

It isn’t possible to refund a gift card at this time.

Can I refund purchases made with a gift card?

Yes. Refunding a purchase made with a gift card adds the refunded amount to the gift card's balance.

Can I buy multiple gift cards in one order? Or purchase a gift card with other products?

No. When purchasing a gift card, you will go directly to checkout after clicking Purchase.

Can I restrict gift cards to certain items?

No. Gift cards can be used as a payment method for any item or order.

Can I choose the amount when purchasing a gift card?

No, but you can select from our multiple pre-set gift card values, from $25 up to $200.

How do I check the balance of a gift card?

You will receive an initial email with the gift card balance. After entering the gift card code at checkout, you will see the remaining balance if there is any.

Can I add value to a gift card?

No.

Can I set a specific time to send the email to the recipient as a gift?

No. If you want to send the email to the recipient at a later date, please select the "Email to You" delivery option at checkout. You can then forward the email or .pdf at the desired time.


 

 

SHIPPING & RETURNS

Brass & Unity offers FREE ground shipping on all online purchases over $99 within Canada and the United States.

Order Processing Times

All orders will be shipped within 3 business days (unless otherwise notified).

Order Tracking Info

You will receive an email confirmation when your order has been successfully placed. If you need to adjust your online order, please contact orders@brassandunity.com. Adjustments to orders must be made on the same day the order was placed. Please ensure the shipping address is correct, as once the item has been dispatched we cannot redirect the order. Upon shipment you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your invoice and tracking number. We recommend saving the tracking number. Once the shipping confirmation email is sent, changes can no longer be made to orders.

Some shipments may require a signature at the time of delivery. If no one is present at the time of delivery the package will be held for pick-up and you will be notified by a placard at your home.

  • USA shipments may take additional time and/or fees due to customs, and is out of our control. Tracking your shipment will show if this causes a delay

  • We work with Purolator, UPS, and FedEx. We will select the fastest carrier based on your location to ensure you get the best service

  • We cannot ship to P.O. boxes

  • To request a service we do not offer, please reach out to us at orders@brassandunity.com before placing your order and we will do our best to accommodate your needs

Returns & Exchanges

You are entitled to an exchange or refund within 14 days of your purchase. Please note that the product must be returned unused, in original packaging including all tags or otherwise. In case of refund neither the original shipping cost nor the return shipping cost will be repaid. Refunds are issued to your original payment method or in the form of online credit. Refunds cannot be returned to alternate cards or different forms of payment.
